Emilio Barreto
Emilio Barreto is an accomplished vocalist who has officiated at hundreds of ceremonies for many respected elders of Santeria. He began his apprenticeship twenty five years ago with the African American Ballet and has participated in many international conferences, which include the 1983 Orisha Conference in Brazil. Recently he collaborated with Paul Simon and Derick Walcot in the Broadway musical called “The Capeman. Emilio barreto also founded Luz Productions, whose title Santisimo features the well known akpwons and drummers, Amelia Pedroso of Havana and Orlando “Puntilla” Rios of Havana and New Jersey.
