With ten years of studio experience and a lifetime of music education, Bryan possesses the ability to understand both the finer points of musical arrangement and the technical minutia of audio engineering. After graduating cum laude from Berklee College of Music, Bryan spent six years working in two of New York’s world-renowned studios, Right Track Recording (now Manhattan Sound Recording) and Avatar Studios. During that time he learned from some of the best engineers and producers in the industry [Tony Visconti (producer/engineer for David Bowie and T. Rex), Joe Ferla (producer/engineer for Dave Douglas, Bill Frisell, Joey Baron), Phil Ramone (producer for Paul Simon, Elton John, Ringo Starr)] and worked with a wide array of artists in genres spanning from jazz, to pop, to rock, to orchestral [John Mayer, Gladys Knight, Across the Universe, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Michael Brecker].
During his tenure as an assistant engineer at Right Track and Avatar, Bryan was also producing and mixing a number of independent projects. In 2007, Bryan left Avatar for life as a freelancer. Since then he’s been working with an ever-expanding list of clients [Kara Suzanne, David Cieri, Amanda Brecker, Jorscan, Putnam Murdock to name a few], and has branched out to work in a number of other great studios in the New York area.
